The Venus Star point in Libra: Finding balance and equilibrium within ourselves to create universal harmony in the world around us
As I mentioned in my newsletter yesterday, the next several weeks usher in a volatile period of cosmic intensity. (As if we needed any more intensity, but apparently the cosmos has faith that we can handle it. 🤣)
Fortunately, this intensity begins with a gorgeous Venus Star point in Libra, which occurs on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at 2:17p MST/5:17p EDT at 29°26’ of Libra. It’s the first time Venus and the Sun have come together in Libra, which Venus rules with Juno, the goddess of marriage and intimate partnership, since 1879. And at the last degree of Libra, with the waning balsamic Moon, this moment is especially potent for releasing old ways that no longer serve our planet or the beings who reside here so that we can call in the love-filled New Earth we envision.
Here are some of the themes for this Venus Star point, which initiates a new 8-year cycle:
The balance of masculine and feminine within ourselves
Turning shadows into gifts
Letting go of our own personal agenda
Fully shining our light
Finding delight and pleasure in sensuality without guilt or shame that we’re not “giving enough”
No longer compromising our gifts because of societal expectations or “values”
Tapping into resonance and frequency to “hear” and sense our own truth
Tree of life/sacred geometry, ever expanding into new fractals of light and life
This Venus Star point is truly a benevolent gift from the cosmos before we dive deep into Scorpio eclipse season, which promises a profound excavation of what lies within us and how we relate to others. Scorpio season (which begins with a partial solar eclipse/New Moon on October 25, 2022, at 3:48a MST/6:48a EDT) will bring us an exploration of deep and hidden issues that must be brought to light for them to be healed. We cannot continue to censor or suppress an issue because we don’t agree with others or because the issue makes us uncomfortable. When we can embrace the conflict and love the lessons it brings (as well as the people who bring it), then we have the power to see its true meaning and value, the diamond that lies buried into the coal.
Rather than make a video about the astrology, I felt inspired to create and share some journal prompt questions to help you explore some of the themes of this new cycle and prepare for Scorpio eclipse season:
Think about your most challenging relationship(s). In what areas do you tend to assert your will over the other? Where do you suppress your own desires for the sake of the other? What would help make this relationship feel more balanced?
Would you consider yourself a generous person? When is it easy to share your resources, and when is it a struggle?
What would you consider your deepest core wound, the one that rears its head when you least expect it or are least aware? What are some of its triggers? What are you doing to heal and make peace with this wound? How would you treat people differently if you knew that everyone on the planet carried a similar core wound?
Where do you tend to suppress your light to conform or fit into society? What experiences did you have as a child that made you feel it was unsafe to shine your light?
How do you want to be remembered by others when you die?
What gifts do you have to share with those around you, gifts that are too painful to hide anymore?
Do you consider yourself a giver or a receiver? How do you react when someone gives you an unconditional gift (meaning they are doing it for love and don’t expect anything in return)? How does this translate in physical/sensual relationship with others? What does it take for you to experience your own pleasure at the “hands” of another?
Spend a moment with your favorite expression of sacred geometry – this could be a flower, a leaf, or your beloved’s green eyes. Let yourself be mesmerized by the perfection. Come back to this moment any time you feel out of balance.
What are your favorite types of music and sound? How do you use music to raise your vibration when you’re feeling stressed or sad? Make yourself a playlist of all of your faves to help you through the intensity of Scorpio eclipse season.
Please let me know if you find these journal prompts helpful. If you want to know how this eclipse season impacts you personally, please book a reading here.
I love you,
