The Full Wolf Moon (Full Moon in Cancer)
This afternoon/evening, we experience the last Full Moon of 2023. (The Moon at 4º58’ in her home sign of Cancer opposes the Sun in Capricorn at 5:33pm MST.) Called the Wolf Moon, she signified times past when the northern reaches of our planet were blanketed in the first thick layers of winter snow, and the wild wolves roamed free on the plains. As Mama Gaia balances her energy in ways that we humans don’t quite understand, most of us in the northern hemisphere are experiencing the dark of winter without the merciful snow reflecting the illuminations of the bright moon.
The June (Summer) Solstice (June 21, 2023)
Talk about phenomenal Solstice energy, I just had to come in and make you all a quickie video in honor of the June (Summer) Solstice on June 21, 2023, at 7:57a MST/10:57a EDT. It doesn’t matter if you reside on the northern or southern half of our beautiful planet… no one is immune to this incredible energy.
Turning to the Feminine: The Summer Solstice of 2022
Ceres, the mother and queen, the goddess of fertility, conception, and creativity, is what my dear friend, Cyndi, calls the “ace in the hole” for this year’s Summer Solstice, as the Sun crosses into Cancer on June 21 at 2:14a PDT/5:14a EDT. Ceres moved into Cancer on May 15; she can teach so much about love, nurturing, imagination, and selflessness. She’s the consummate mother, and I consider her one of the co-rulers of Cancer with the Moon.
